Gauge Your Preparedness Right Now
There are a lot of people who don’t really think about being prepared for a SHTF situation. They don’t think about what they should do to get ready for one because they never think it will happen to them.
These people believe that if something does happen where they can’t get supplies, they probably have enough to make it through until the government steps in.
But this kind of thinking can be dangerous because it’s likely that you don’t have anywhere near what you really need. What you should do right now to test this is take a pen and paper and start a list.
You need to write down everything you have on hand that will help you survive. This list should have several different categories. You should have a category for your paper goods – and this includes hygiene items.

You might have enough toilet paper for a week. But a bad situation can last a lot longer. What would you do then? Not having enough toilet paper is something you can live without, even though it would be gross.
But what if you don’t have enough baby formula to last longer than two weeks? At the end of two weeks, if you can’t get to the grocery store because they’re shut down or destroyed, what will you do then? How will you take care of your baby’s needs?
What about medical supplies? Do you really have a lot of those items? Most people usually have a few in their medicine cabinet. But a small box of bandages isn’t enough when it comes to taking care of a life threatening emergency if you have to do that.
If you only had five minutes to gather your family and get out, what would you do? Do you think you could pack enough supplies for every member of the family in just five minutes?
You’d need clothes, food, water, shelter, money and a plan of action. You can’t prepare all of that in just five minutes. Once you get out, what if you have to stay gone for months? What will you do then?
It’s not easy looking at how unprepared we really are for SHTF situations, but you have to face reality because it could happen to you. When you look at your reality and realize how unprepared you are, this can be the jolt that you need to get prepared.
The eBook, “Are You Prepared for SHTF Situations?“ can guide you on what you need and what you should do, but you have to take action and put the steps into practice so that you won’t be caught unprepared.
