Emergency Food Shortages
This year has been particularly nasty, with Covid-19 concerns, looting, rioting, protesting, and other disruptions causing demand for emergency food and supplies to skyrocket. We witnessed the spread of Coronavirus over the past months that caused shortages and backorders of emergency storable foods. While some of these issues have been resolved, the threat of another wave of Covid-19 and more “shelter in place” orders is sure to cause more troubles for getting storable emergency food.
So just like that, the sleepy survival market, which has seen significant drops over the last few years is now on top of a major upswing. While this is encouraging news for the survival market, it also brings its own set of challenges.
The highest demand we’re seeing is with long term food storage. Food has made up 80% of the higher demand seen over the last few weeks.
Legacy Food Storage has increased production on a scale unlike anything they have ever had to do before and are doing everything they can to keep on track with shipping out orders. As it stands today, they are pleased to announce that All Orders are shipping out in 3-5 Business Days. They are running at optimal capacity right now and don’t anticipate any delays in the near future.
